How to change the default issue type for incident received by mail in cloud version

Hi

We have in our project 3 different types of issues, the customers can use, when creating a ticket via the portal (Support, Bug and New Feature).

When they create a ticket via mail is the mail creating a Support ticket.

We would like it to create a Bug ticket instead, but where do I change this?

We are working in the cloud version, and I am administrator, so I am pretty sure I have seen the setting somewhere but cannot find it. :(

Help is appreciated. :)

Bo

Hi @Bo Schlichting

Its really not so obvious, I agree.

Just follow this doc to change your email request type

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/choose-a-request-type-for-email-requests/

IF any other help is needed, let me know. And also if that worked :)

Hi Patricia

Thanks for the answer, but that is request type, I need to change the Issue type.

I have though gone a bit deeper and created a new entry instead of duplicate and can see that I now can select Bug instead. I now need to figure out how to change the "USED BY EMAIL CHANNEL" so it uses my new Request type.

Thanks

Bo
