How to assign a ticket to a user who is registered/present in IM system but is not an agent/admin/ also not in the service desk team

Hi Akshay,

The user must be an agent in order for you to assign a ticket to them. See Jira Service Desk permission documentation. A common scenario is to have another project that contains issues for developers (for example, in the software development context), and there are links between the Service Desk project and Jira project. That way, you can assign a ticket to others without using Service Desk agent licenses.

Hi Akshay,

Yes, this user as an agent will consume a Jira Service Desk license.

You can follow the steps here to make a user an agent.

Same things are there in JIRA software (Not jira sd)?
