How to add member to Change Advisory Board with out the JSM License ?

Hi everyone,

 

Just want to check with you.  We already subscribe to the license for JSM with 25 licenses to provide to our Service Agent. However, our JSM is having a Change request as well and it requires us to submit the change to CAB. 

 

With this requirement, it needs to add these CAB members to a group but is it require to provide the JSM license to them? Does anyone have a workaround to prevent this? Because we just require them to Approve the change request. They're not a service agent.

Hi @wisanu wirojtecha ,

It sounds like you'd benefit from using JSM's approvals feature. This allows a pre-defined set of users to hit an "Approve" button either on the request via the customer portal, or directly from the email notification they receive. They don't need to be licensed JSM agents; they just need to be listed as customers on the portal. Sound right?

To get started, I'd suggest checking out this documentation which provides a little more context along each step of the setup:

  1. What are approvals? (longer summary of the feature)
  2. Set up approvals - describes how the Approvers and Approver group fields that come with the ITSM project template work
  3. Add an approval to a workflow - describes how to add an approval step to the workflow that will trigger the email notification to the approvers and allow them to click "Approve"
