How to I link Active Directory to JSM to populate a custom field

When a user submits a request, I want to pull their manager from Active Directory and pre-populate a custom field (manager) so I can set the Approver so the manager can approve the request. 

I noticed there are plug-ins for the Server and Data Server version but cannot find one for the Cloud version.

Does anyone have a plug-in or information to direct me a rest API?

 I have used the addon Azure AD attributes for Jira Cloud : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220477/azure-ad-attributes-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

It works fine to use information that is available on Azure AD as custom fields in Jira.

It works fine with Active Directory if you have AD Connect to send information from your AD to Azure AD (most of my clients do this today as they usually already have Azure AD).

Yes, just confirmed they are pulling in that attribute from AD into AZure AD.  They are going to sync with JIRA.  So my question is, do we need this plugin?

Hi @Kathi Paquet ,

if they need to get information from Azure AD, I can confirm that this addon will be necessary : it's not possible to get the information otherwise.
