My goal is to test an integration between ServiceNow and several different Jira Software (Cloud) and Jira Service Desk (Cloud) projects. Our Sandbox was just recently set up and only has a generic test project. To have an effective Sandbox test, we need to have the same project workflows and settings as we have in Production.
I've searched in documentation and community and haven't been able to find anything about how to copy/clone from Production into Sandbox besides https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Cloning-production-into-test-staging-environments/qaq-p/309356
This information is about a script to automate the repetitive boring task, but right now I need a set of instructions to do this task one time. Or someone to provide me a script to run with instructions how to do it. I appreciate any help you can provide.
@Amanda Wernicke you can foow the directions here to copy data to sandbox https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/manage-product-sandboxes/
You can follow this steps but again it about the size of your site. if its over 40GB then its little bit messy
To copy data from your production environment to its sandbox:
Select the name of your organization at admin.atlassian.com to access your organization Administration overview.
Go to Products > Sandbox.
Under Actions in the product table, select Copy production data.
Choose copy with media files or without media files, select Copy data.
(Copying without media files can decrease the time it takes to copy data into your sandbox)
Again not all data get copied over it has come limitation to know more in details refer This Doc
