How do you remove the required Actual Date/Time field?

It is confusing to the end user when an error message comes up due to the time being entered when it is 30 min increments

Hi @Susan Allaire and welcome to the Community!

It looks as if someone on your Jira instance has configured this field to be required. I have not seen this field required in Jira as a predefined setting somewhere.

This behaviour can either be the result of:

• an admin setting the field as required in a field configuration associated with your project;
• by a field required validator in a workflow used in your project;
• and maybe by a workflow rule in a team managed project

It will be a matter of checking where this restriction was applied and having it removed if it is not something you need.
