How do i Migrate data from sales force service cloud to Jira service desk??

Sudarshan Iyer March 18, 2019

Have moved from Sales force service cloud to Jira service desk. Currently as per what I have come across if I need to migrate my data it asks me to go through a third party vendor which is charging me. So my question is if I have moved from sales force to jira shouldn't jira help migrate for free as i have moved my business to them

Hi @Sudarshan Iyer

Atlassian will not help you directly in doing this migration for you.

You can use the Jira CSV import feature to migrate your data. You can find more details here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/importing-data-from-csv-938847533.html

If you can export your Salesforce data into CSV then format the data into a format that Jira can accept. That mainly requires mapping of various fields.

There are also some apps that you can look at for integrating Jira with Salesforce. You can try to find one of the app that matches your requirement. Most of the apps provide sync between the two tools but it may be useful for doing migration as well.
