How do I use the Service Desk Customer Visible Status in reports and dashboards?

We make a simplified set of Workflow Status values visible to Customers using that feature in JIRA Service Desk

 

We want to be able to present the customer visible workflow status values in Filters / Reports / Dashboards

 

I can't see where to select that field.

 

If that feature doesn't exist yet, please can this be considered as we want to be able to review dashboards with customers, presenting the status values they recognise, rather than exposing our internal workflow

Hi @Simon Hemming 

You can't do that currently in Jira. You can submit a suggestion for this matter here. In addition, you could do that with a workaround:

  • Create a new single select field with the customers statuses
  • Bulk change (or use automation rule to map) current internal statuses to "customer's statuses"
  • Create an automation to auto populate that field from now on
  • Adjust your filters with the new field
  • Present to your customer
