How do I modify an issue layout if it's not associated with a request type?

I'm currently setting up a JSM implementation on Cloud and am dealing with the idiosyncracies of the New Issue View.  The client doesn't want to see "Show x More Fields" which can be changed if the issue type is associated with a request type.  For issue types which aren't associated with a request type, the following popup is seen:Screen Shot 2020-12-30 at 9.49.40 AM.png

For this project there WILL be people creating tickets directly from Jira.  I'm at a loss how to configure the layout WITHOUT creating a request type and associating it with the issue type.

Thoughts, anyone?

Hi Robert,

first consider voting watching this issue - JSDCLOUD-9230

second you can do this in the old issue view so consider switching back to edit and return.

third, recommend to your client to use "raise a request" method of creating issues where they create via RT.
