We have an APIfrom Jira to AzureAD, and we have created groups in Azure that are linked to Jira. Now I have deleted a user in Jira and want to add them back through group synchronization, but how do you synchronize this manually? An AI redirected me to this screenshot, but I can't get any further from there.Screenshot 2025-09-11 105444.png

Hi @Antonia

Check the audit log in administration and filter on the option: "Added user from identity provider"

If you use provisioning the provisioned directory based on changes pushes them to Atlassian.

There is no manual sync option.

Simple action is to remove the user from the synced group and add the user again.

Hi @Marc - Devoteam

which audit log do you mean exactly? I can only see “View Troubleshooting log” and I can't filter anything there. I might be using provisioning, but I'm not sure. Unfortunately, I cannot add the user to the group myself via Jira because the group is managed by the identity provider. The user is in the group in Azure but no longer in Jira. And I don't really want to wait a few hours for the user to reappear there.

Hi @Antonia

Go to Atlassian Administration, in the section Security -> Monitoring -> Audit Log

https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/track-organization-activities-from-the-audit-log/

HI @Marc - Devoteam

thank you very much! It was under “Insights” for me. The user has not been added since I kicked them out of there.

Hi @Antonia

Ask IT to remove the user from the synched group and add the user again, let's say keep an hour between these actions.
