When people report an issue using the portal while not logged in the following comment is added using my name:
"This issue was reported from the portal while the user was not signed into an account."
Why is it using my name? Can I assign a system user for these comments? These comments are attributed to me which is not what I want.
@Jan Visser, Please have a look at your project Automation section. I suspect there is an automation rule that is set to run as 'you'. Whether it is in Automation or somewhere else (addon, system rule, etc) for sure this is the reason. I do hate that Atlassian doesn't have a default system user that can be use for this. FWIW, i leverage Automation Lite for Jira for a number of things and when installed it creates an 'Automation Lite' user which I then use for the express purpose of overcoming this limitation.
hope this helps.
For me, the automation was found under the project settings "Automation" >> "Legacy automation". Here you can set the default configuration for all notifications, but also set the default user for every single rule.

Go to "Automation" in the left hand menu
You will see a rule called "Flag Anonymous request" This rule is creating the comment
