How can i set a field mandatory when a ticket is solved in the workflow of email requests?

Luiz April 30, 2019

In the workflow of e-mails requests i need to make a field required when a request is solved. When i access the workflow, it is not possible to create a validator rule in the respect transition.

How can i do it?

In the Jira configuration, i accessed the workflows configuration, but in only have inactive workflows. I do not have active workflows.

Do i have to create a special workflow to be used by email requests?

Thanks,

Where are you accessing the workflow? Go to project > project settings > workflows. In this view you should see all workflows associated with all issuetypes you have defined for the project in question. Edit the appropriate workflow and you will want to associate a screen that includes the desired/required field. Add a Validation that require it be set.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the answer, but this path doesn´t exists Go to project > project settings > workflows. When access the Project setting, there is no worflow item. As my language is portuguese, it should appear "Fluxo de Trabalho". I am attaching a file of the Project settings screen. Maybe is something related with the template which was chosen?

so i'm guessing you are not a jira admin. likely you are a project admin for that project. if you are a Jira admin you would see something like this...

workflow.jpg

if this is the case please discuss with your jira admin to have them make the changes.

I have two projects, one of them is last generation, and is not possible to see workflow menu in the Project settings.

And the other Project is default, and is possible to see workflow menu in the Project settings.
