How can I make some fields non read only for specific users

Hello,

I want to make some fields readonly or hidden for a specific group meanwhile other users can edit these fields. I want this to be by default not  throught a validation rule during the transition.

This is not possible in Jira.

Edit permissions are based on user/ group or role, but this will include all fields.

Jira has no field permissions.

See 3rd party options on the marketplace, like; Secure Custom Fields for Jira (Security & Permission)
