How are you integrating Jira with ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus?

As far as we can see, there is currently no dedicated app or native connector available to integrate Jira with ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus. How are others solving this integration, particularly for automated ticket creation and status synchronization? Are there recommended approaches or planned solutions?

Thank you for the suggestion Marc - I’m aware of the APIs on both sides and that Jira Automation can make web requests. What I’m really interested in is whether there are other integration options or common practices that people are using in this specific scenario.

For example:

• Are there middleware platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Workato, n8n, etc.) that are commonly used for this?
• Are there ready-made connectors/plugins in the Atlassian Marketplace or elsewhere that people adopt even if not officially provided?
• Do teams use custom integration services, message queues, or event-driven architectures to handle ticket creation and status sync?
• Are there any best practice patterns for maintaining synchronization between ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus and Jira (e.g., bi-directional update logic, error handling, reconciliation processes)?
• Is there any known roadmap or planned solution from either vendor regarding tighter integration?

I’m looking for practical real-world approaches beyond just calling APIs directly.

You could see the API options that are offered by Atlassian for Jira to create issues etc..

Automation can make web requests to other applications, if these offer API options as well.
