Hello.
Our Jira Service Management customers are using a Confluence macro to view asset objects. However, this macro has a predefined table layout and display order, so it does not allow filtering or sorting. Is there a more user-friendly way to display asset fields?
I’m considering using a BI tool or a third-party application to improve this.
Does anyone know of any solutions?
You can use the dashboards in Jira or in Assets.
Analytics is also an option, as mentioned by @Sam Okell , but this requires an Enterprise subscription.
Still on each dashboard option you can sort on the attributes shown, but the source can only be altered by users with permissions on the filter or dashboard.
Thank you for your comments!!
"the source can only be altered by users with permissions on the filter or dashboard. "
⇒my understanding is JSM customers can't browse dashboard because JSM customers can't have a permission on the filter or dashboard.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I they are only customers, then no, there is no option to showcase this differently, as indeed JSM customers can't access the system
You might want to look for 3rd party apps:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Yes, we'd like to showcase to customers.
I'll check these your recommend apps,
thank you so much.

Or you could look at apps from Confluence, see;
They are probably cheaper, then apps for dash boarding in Jira.

The way you would want to do this would either be the Dashboards button below, found in the top left of the Asset main page:
Or using Atlassian Analytics (this is what we do).
Both can give you effectively the same information, however I've found the Analytics (whilst a bit more complex) is much more flexible and can give much more manipulation of your data as it's SQL-based.
I'd try the Dashboards first and see if it gives you what you need, otherwise Analytics is probably the way to go!

thank you for your replay!!
Can Jira Service Management customers license user browse Assets dashboards??
(I recognize JSM customers license user can't browse Atlassian Analytics)
