We have a requirement to hide few of the custom fields for a specific client and these fields should not be deleted.
When we try hiding these fields through Field configuration, fields are getting hidden in Issue screens(Create, Edit and View) but these fields are not getting hidden and still available for filtering and bulk edit features.
Is there any solution for achieving this through configurations?

Unfortunately there is no way to achieve the desired behavior using Jira default features.
Any field populated in a request will still be available on filter results and dashboards, even if they are hidden on the Field Configuration.
By hiding the fields using Field Configuration, it will only make fields invisible on the screens.
