Hide issue types for some customer (customer portal)?

Benjamin Nast October 24, 2019

Hello,

I want to hide several request types for some customers (in customer portal). After changing security level for a request type it is still possible to choose the request type (for respective customers) but it's no longer possible to create those issues. Is there a possibility to hide those request types for respective customer in customer portal?

Or can I show different request types for different organizations/groups... ?

Thanks for helping!

Hi Benjamin,
This feature cannot be done using out of the box capabilities.

You must go for Extension for Jira Service Desk (PAID)

Thanks for your answer. Is it possible to set a default privacy (organization) for a request type?

So I would create different organizations that some (created) issues are only shown for certain customers. I think it's a bit unlucky if the customer itself has to select the organization to share with.

There is no way to hide Request types per Organizations basis, the only native approach is to create separate portals for each group of organizations and corretly set up the customers able to see each portal.

OK, thank you. Separate portals means to create a new project, right?

That's correct.
