Joshua Barimah May 5, 2019

How do i hide project for one organization from the others (all projects are shown in the client portal) and we want them to see only project relates to them

Also how do we setup auto ticket closing, example is we want all tickets created under backup project closed automatically after 2 working days.

Hi @Joshua Barimah

For this, you can achieve this by setting your portal to an invite only setting as follows:

  1. Go to <Your Project> / Project Settings / Customer Permissions page.
  2. Change who can raise request to Customer Added to the project.
  3. Save this change.
  4. Next go to Applications / JIRA Service Desk / Configuration page.
  5. Change the Public Sign up to: No customer must be added to the project option. (This may be needed to remove the project from the customer portal entirely, however this then impacts all projects).

For auto-closing tickets, you would need to use SLAs and the automation as follows.

  1. Create an SLA that times out in 48h
  2. Create a custom automation Rule as follows:
  3. When: SLA Time Remaining / <Your SLA created in Step 1> / <breached>
  4. IF: <you can add your condition here via JQL>.
  5. Then: Transition Issue:n <Your Close issue transition>. (This will only work if there is a transition between the current status and the closed status hence in your workflow, I may suggest using an All Status transition to the closed status here).

I hope this helps.
