Is any way in JIRA to capture how long a JIRA item has been with someone and/or at a certain status? Specifically, for business requirement as issue type?

Can we look at this in JIRA itself or maybe pull data in excel? Thanks

I mean we can see the transition, history and work log section of issue panel. I want to see how long the task type was with previous owner/assignee, whether was it for 4 days or one week?
