Getting Authentication failed exception when adding outlook account as mail server

I can  able to add gmail account as the mail server in JIRA.But getting error when i am adding outlook account as the mail server.

I see that this question is marked as Jira Service Desk and you are trying to add a custom email through the Jira Core mail handler.

For Jira SD, it's necessary to add the email directly on the project and not on the system settings.

Please, go to the desired project and click on Project Settings > Email requests (classic project) or Project settings > Channels > Email (next-gen).

On this page, you will be able to link a custom email address for your customers to send requests to your site.
