Hello,
Recently, I've synchronized the existing "Department" and "Manager" attributes in our Azure AD using Atlassian Guard.
I'm currently trying to get these attributes into an automation, but I'm not succeeding. Is it possible to get them using smart values or REST API?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Duarte
There are no smart values for this, you can use the API to get this information.
See, api-users-account-id-manage-profile-get
Use the web-request action within automation and you can use smart value: {{webhookResponse}}
Hi, @Duarte Meneses
Currently, you have access to only a few attributes. You can get them via API; however, there are limitations to what you can do with them. If you are open to a marketplace solution, I recommend Mindpro Sync (I work at Mindpro). The app lets you sync all the main attributes from Azure AD (including extension attributes) and map them to Jira read-only custom fields. This means you can use these fields not only in automation but also in JQL within Jira.
The app also allows you to display these attributes inside issue screens and provides a way to display the hierarchy, groups, and set approvers using the manager information.
I hope that helps.
Regards,
Eduardo
