Hello all,

We are using JSM Cloud to handle requests from our external clients. One of those clients would like to receive bi-weekly reports about the amount of issues they have created, the status, resolution and other issue details.

The client has multiple companies and issues can be created by any employee of those companies. That means that we don't have a fixed list of reporters.

Preferably, the report will be generated automatically. If it also can be send/shared in PDF/read-only format automatically, that would be great.

Is it possible to fulfill this request? If so, how should I proceed? How do you handle these kind of client requests?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Paul Wiggers

Out of the box you can't do exactly what you ask (pdf export).

However,

  • If you have your customers separated in Organizations, then
  • It would make your life easier to find the issues that your client wants.
  • If you have this, you can create a filter.
  • Once you create a filter, you can create a subscription for that filter
  • If you create a subscription to e.g. you, then you can forward this specific email to your client

The above would be the most easy way, using out of the box functionalities.

If that doesn't satisfy completely your needs, then you can try certain apps from the marketplace like Better PDF Exporter (search here https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira-service-management&query=pdf%20export).

Another thing you could do is install this app https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219647/my-requests-extension-for-jira-service-management?hosting=cloud&tab=overview which, if not mistaken, has the ability for customers to export their own requests.

Hi @Paul Wiggers

You can try the app my team created, called Advanced Portal Reports. It gives you the opportunity to provide your customers with an extended report for each of their JSM tickets, to filter them however they choose to and also view additional details (including SLA) for each portal ticket on the customer portal. You can also export the requests details into Excel, CSV, etc. The app has a 30-day free trial, so we hope you give it a go!

Cheers,

Denitsa
