Is there a way (workflow plug-ins included) to force customers to add a comment in the pop-up comment box when performing a transition through a JSM portal? I know there's an existing feature request, JSDCLOUD-4922, but considering it's been open since 2017 I'm hoping for a more realistic solution.

Hi @Mathew Lederman

No there is not.

There is no option to force users to provide information into a comment on the portal.

There might be options with the app "Actions for Jira Service Management".

Yeah, that's what we have today and we're trying to get away from it and move towards more native forms/automation. Unfortunately, not being able to force a comment is a hard requirement and it seems silly to send the user a form just to get a comment.
