Hi everyone,

We are looking for a solution to handle huge Jira File attachments outside of Jira itself.
Use case: Customers will get in touch with us and need to upload big log files for our support teams. Also we need to make sure that the customer user permission is in place (customer should only see files from the customer or user itself). So customer uploaded file should be stored in a cloud but directly linked into the Jira issue itself.

Any idea which kind of plugin will help in this case?
we can store the files within AWS S3 Bucket, OneDrive etc.

Best,
Michael

Michael,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.  If you visit the marketplace there are several apps related to OneDrive, AWS and Google Drive.  The AWS apps are not what you are looking for but the Google Drive and OneDrive may work but I am doubtful since they usually connect to your companies drive environment and not your customers.  We have an SFTP server that we set our customers up on that allows them to upload documents and then we have a custom field that allows them to past the name of the document when submitting their request.  Not the best solution but it seems to work.  You can checkout the OneDrive and Google Drive apps here and see if they work for you: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=cloud&product=jira&query=Drive  I believe you can configure cloud to accept up to 2GB files now so you might not need an external source.  https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-file-attachments/
