Failed to create a new area in Jira Essential: IT Service Management due to “technical issues.”

We are trying to create a new area in Jira Essentials: IT Service Management. The following message appears when I attempt to do this.

What exactly do you mean by Jira Essential: IT Service Management. This is a certification - are you talking about the sandbox environment that you may get for finishing the course?

Could you describe in more detail what UI you are in and what you are clicking before the error appears?

thanks a lot for getting back to me!

Just to clarify: I’m not working in any training environment. You were right — I wasn’t referring to the certification, but to the “IT Service Management (Essential)” template in the Space templates section.

Here’s what I’m doing when the error shows up:

1. I’m on the regular Jira Cloud home page.
2. I go to Spaces.
3. Then I click Create space.
4. Jira shows me the available space templates.
5. Under the IT category, I select the “IT Service Management (Essential)” template.
6. And right after that, the error appears.

Maybe a bit of a stupid question but... You have Jira Service Management added to your site?
