Hello, we've been conducting implementation testing for an extended duration. We're utilizing the free plan, which accommodates up to 3 users. However, we've encountered a problem with generating Project reports in Google Sheets through the official Marketplace app "Jira Cloud for Google Sheets."
Specifically, certain fields such as task type are not reflecting the updates made in Jira, despite being updated there. This issue is currently impeding our decision to commit to becoming paid users for an extended timeframe.
Hi @Sandip Nandi,
I can't really comment on the Jira Cloud for Google Sheets app, but since it's an official Atlassian app, you may want to reach out to Atlassian Support for further assistance.
Another thing to consider is that there are many other apps available on the Marketplace related to Excel integrations and/or reporting. Depending on your exact use case, these may serve you even better.
Just to put out an example that I think may fit you quite well: My and I work on an app named JXL for Jira, a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. This all happens directly in Jira, meaning that any change you do is live and immediately visible. JXL also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting, which you can use to build powerful reports.
This is how it looks in action:
As said above, there'll be other apps that can help with this, too. You may already know that you can trial any app for free for 1 month, and depending on the size of your size, it may be free forever. So if a 3rd party app is an option for your, perhaps try a few and see which works best for you.
Best,
Hannes
Hi @Hannes Obweger - JXL for Jira
Can this be integrated into Looker Studio, formerly Google Data Studio for Dashboard?

Hi @Sandip Nandi I'm not too familiar with Locker Studio and its integration system, but I doubt that this would be (easily) possible. This being said, JXL also does a great export to Excel, so you can always export and take it from there.
