I'm needing assistance to know if this is possible or not!
We would like to allow our employees to email the Service Desk with their personal emails in the event they are locked out of their work laptop and don't have access to work emails.
Now, we don't want to open it up to all external domains, just prior approved personal emails of colleagues. Is this possible? Can we sync with our HRIS platform for personal emails which in turn would then be allowed to email in to our Jira Service Desk?
You could see on synchronizing this to a group in Atlassian administration.
Grant this group access to the JSM project, granting this group the role Service Desk Customers
Hi Marc - Thanks for the message. Oh that's a good shout! So map from BambooHR and sync personal emails to the group and then allow those in that group to contact service desk.

This might give you some information to create users, a group and add users to a group
You only option is probabley using the availabe API endpoints
