Email integration between Jira and Servicedesk Plus

Our customer is using ServiceDesk Plus and we want to be able to open/update tickets between both systems. 

We tried using email to open and update tickets, however, our customer's Service desk plus does not return the Jira Issue # in the subject line.   

Is there an app between the 2 solutions ?   or has anyone else been successful in integrating these 2 solutions?
