Does anyone know how to view Service Desk reports for longer than a year?

I'm actively researching some plugins, and if I find a good fit I'll answer my own question with guidance for others. I couldn't find any existing forum posts about the topic, so I figured it needed to be asked somewhere in here.

When you view reports on the project page for JSD, the longest any options go back is for 1 year.

For anyone coming across this in the future, I ended up querying the JIRA database directly and writing reports in SSRS and Power BI. If this post gets some interaction showing interest in a deep dive, I'll write up an article on how it was accomplished.

This is easy enough in Data Center or Server, but can be done with cloud as well if you set up a scheduled data export.

Currently, it's not possible to generate reports with data further than a year. We have two feature requests suggesting the implementation of this ability:
