I work for an academic institution.
We want to expand our current Jira service management and confluence implementations, but Atlassian will not work within our procurement process (Our current use is small enough to pay with a p-card).
We need vendors to fill out a vendor registration form, and also sign the PO to execute it. But Atlassian says they will not do that. The only way I can see to move forward is to work with a partner who can sign purchasing and legal documents. But so many universities have procurement rules, we can't be the only ones dealing with this.
Do most universities work with an Atlassian Partner?
This can be considered as a custom solution built on top of Jira, You can use a Atlassian Partner / Hire a Jira Solutions Engineer on a contract to build the solution for you.
Usually when a company wants to expand the usage of any Atlassian Tools, they would hire an employee (contract / Full-time) to manage their instances and help with the setup.
You can open source the work as well.
Good Luck with the project!
