Disable Issue Status Change Notifications To Watchers and Assignees

Hi, 

My team would like to reduce the email quantity coming from Jira. To achieve the goal, I would like to take off issue status change notification to Assignee and Watcher. I started with removing the receivers in notification schema for Issue Resolved. That didn't affect anything. Both user categories are still receiving updates about issues moved to resolved. (Have had the same experience by adding receivers). I have confirmed that I am working in active notification scheme for the project. Below is a print screen for your reference. Hi Anne,

Workflow transitions often use the Generic Event.

Here is what you should do:

1. Open your workflow in edit mode
2. Select the transition users are still getting notifications for
3. In the post functions check what event is being used

Now you have several options:

• Remove the recipients for that event in the notification scheme of your project
• Or: create a new event type called silent event or something similar and use that event in the transitions where you don't want anyone to get a notification
