Difference between two date/time fields, rounding to 1/2 hour.

I have two date/time picker fields for time to start and finish something.  I want another field that delivers the result of the difference between the two fields, rounded to half hour.  In other words, if the difference between the two fields is 4 hours and 15 minutes, I want the result to show, 4.5 hours.  Then I will subtract time for break.

but have not found what I need.

Hi Tracy:

In our env (Jira Software/JSM Data Center), we uses ScriptRunner for Jira add-on creating scripted field to do exactly what you are trying to accomplish.  After the scripted field is created, then we added the field to the project's Issue View screen.

Take a look at the add-on.  In my opinion, this add-on is a must have and it is a features-riched tool -
