Hi there
I'm slowly getting desperate, my data protection officer is making pressure
We are using Jira Service Management Standard Cloud. I would like to use automation to delete all attachments from all tickets of the ticket type ‘Incident’ that have been in the ‘Closed’ status for 4 weeks or longer. The combination of a corresponding JQL query and the delete attachments function does not work. The rule builder informs me that this combination is not compatible. As the attachments often contain personal data, I am required to delete them as soon as they are no longer needed for fault processing. (GDPR, TKDDDG)
How can I proceed?
Thanks for help
Ingo
Hi @Devoloper ,
Are you using an automation rule for this or something else?
When you're building the rule, you might get that message that the action is potentially incompatible, but it can be simple as this:
You will only need a scheduled trigger and a delete attachments action (you can add conditions if you prefer), and that should work.
I just tested this on one JSM ticket (specified JQL in the trigger), and it deleted all attachments from the given ticket.
Cheers,
Tobi
