Hello,
I am searching for possible ways to automate our current Kanban board within Jira.
Today, we have a Kanban board with 7 columns. Intake>Discovery>Category Analysis>Category Strategy>Category Decision>Contract Execution>Done.
Within each of these columns, we have an associated timeline for completion. Today, we have a custom field created for each of these dates and are manually entering them after we run an excel sheet with some quick math.
What is the best way to automate these dates to change based off of which issue type is selected? For instance, one issue type may have 38 weeks to complete, whereas another may only have 8 weeks.
Thank you!

Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Without more information about the exact type of automation you want to accomplish, my first response it that the Automation for Jira functionality can probably handle what you want to do. But what exactly do you want to automate?
Do you want the dates set initially when the issue is created? Would that be initially based on the current date, or will somebody manually enter the first date and the rest can be calculated from there?
Do you want the dates adjusted if somebody manually changes a date?
