Date Field is little difficult to choose over years

Hi Team,
We are capturing a Field for Date of Birth. But there is like a problem for choosing the Year easily. We need to click all the month and revising the months to get into something
We can type it in field. But that to in a proper way like dd/mm/yyyy.
So it is very awkward for users to fill the information easily. He needs to scroll months to get to the year "1985".
How can we resolve this ? Is there any way we can also edit in the Calendar itself and not in the value field of calendar
