Data Residency scope of customer data

Hi, 

I'm currently evaluating Jira Service Desk for my company and I saw here that it is possible to select a storage location but there is some data that cannot be stored only on this location. One specific object was "Customer Accounts". 

When checking out what Customer accounts mean the definition is still vague. Does this mean that potential PII is transferred outside of the location? Do you have details on the fields that the customer account contain?

There are essentially 2 types of customers:

• Users with Atlassian accounts, often for internal service desks
• Portal-only accounts

To create an account you are entering at least their email address.
