We have implemented our first Customer Portal and have used a file list in Confluence to hold user guide documents, etc, as we don't have time to convert these to pages in the initial version.
The out of the box Search function will allow the file list page to be found, but doesn't seem to work for the actual file names within each list.
For example, we have a file list page called 'Application - User Guides'. This is a file list containing 30+ files. One of these is called 'Producing refunds'. The user can find the file list by entering 'Application'. However, if they search for 'Accounting' no results are found.
Does the out of the box search facility not allow searches at file level? I can't seem to find any reference to this in the standard guidance (happy to be pointed in the right direction!)
Any help would be gratefully accepted!
@Mark K It doe not search the file names. It uses the title, content, and labels to match keywords. I would suggest placing a paragraph on the page at the bottom of keywords or using labels to help search find the documents.
Thanks @Brant Schroeder - that's now done and seems to work fine.
Ultimately, we'll be converting the various content to Confluence pages, I just wanted to get them up there and accessible for now.
Thanks again!
