We're currently evaluating Jira Service Desk to determine if it will fit into our environment.
Are there deployment options allowing the customer portal to reside on a physical server different from the agent portal? Our internal network is a closed network and will support the agent portal and MS SQL server. Our customers reside on an a different external closed network. There is a DMZ segment residing between the networks; we have a physical server residing in the DMZ. We can connect to that server from internal network and our customers can connect to it from the external network but they cannot connect into our internal.
We would like to host the customer portal on that DMZ server and the agent portal on an internal network.
Is this deployment scenario possible?
No, the portals live inside the Jira application. You can't take them out without providing another Jira for them to run on, and the agents would then have to work on that one instead.
