Customer Portal Process

When adding new areas to a published production facing portal, how does one keep it from use during the construction phase? The JIRA portal does not seem to have a way to draft a space then publish it to a live production space.

If you're on Cloud Premium, you could set up a sandbox, set up your desired changes, and when ready, transpose those changes to production.  That last part will have to be manual, though.

If it is project specific, you can hide projects from the portal until your portal config for that project is ready. Not sure if that is what you're asking though.

yes - we would like it viewable by a small group for inspection, upon approval then expose it to the whole customer base.

When I stand up a new JSM project I immediataly navigate to the portal > Customize > Edit Home Page Payout. There you will be able to see all of your project portals. You can then "Hide" a project specific portal from showing on your home page by hiding the project using the "eye" button until you are ready. You can still navigate to the page via the URL, but it will not show on your home page.

- Hope that makes sense :)
