Custom labels field - hide suggestions

Hello,

I need a custom field which gives the user the possibility to enter multiple custom values. I decided to use a "Labels" field for this purpose. The only issue with it is that the users see previously entered values (also values other users entered) as suggestions. I would like to avoid showing those suggestions.

Is there a way to do this?

Or is there a better way for this than to use a "Labels" field?

Edit your custom field and set "Search Template" to None.

Did this work for you guys?    A couple of years ago Atlassian removed the ability to manually reindex and so even though I have set the 'Search Template' to None as you suggest, I have no idea of when this may take effects - hours, days, months, years?
