We have a custom field titled "Contact." We can search within the field using a customer's email address, phone number, or name. When we select the desired customer, their name should appear in the Contact field; however, their email is showing up instead. How can we set the Contact field to show their name?

Hi Phil:
What is the data type of your field? (People Picker?)
Please advise.

Hello Joseph,
The type is "Assets Object."
However, I think I figured it out. Within Assets, I went into the Attributes and set the Label from "Name" to "Email" and saved. I then changed it back from "Email" to "Name." It seemed that "refreshed" Jira and I am now seeing the user's names show up in the contact field.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Since it is sourced from Assets, then the approach of using Label (actual object name within your Assets schema configuration) is correct. This is only way to address your ask that I know of.
