Creating New Issue Event

Hi. I have a workflow that transitions from in progress to cancelled requests.

The cancel transition has a post function fire generic event that sends an email to users.  This email says 'we're working on it'. Obviously we're not working on it as it's been cancelled.

I'd like to create a new Issue event called Issue Cancelled, but can't see where this can be done in Jira. If I can create this, then I can link it to a new notifcation that says 'your request has been cancelled' instead.

Attached is the workflow, the transition post functions, the screenshot for the generic event and the issues that I can see.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Hi @Kelly Phillips

You got me laughing with "Obviously we're not working on it as it's been cancelled." :D

Go to cog (upper right corner) > System > Events (on the left navigation menu) > Add new event (scroll to the bottom)

Then just replace the generic event with the custom event on your workflow.
