Create assets objects from customfeild on portal

Hi 

I have a vague recollection that a long time ago you could create (insight) objects from customfeilds added to the portal, not the selector but a sort of create new option. Was it all a dream? for I can find nothing to support that memory. If so, is there any possibility of that? I need to check against the asset database if an identical object exists and if so create a new one.

To create an object automatically from a JSD form, you will need to have the object schema and object type created in Insight.

Then you create custom fields for all the attributes you want to be filled in when you create the object.

Next, you set up an Insight post-function for Create object, and map your fields (or custom fields) to the Insight object Schema, Object Type, and Attributes.
