Hi,
We are trying to create a template project where we want to configure all the requestType, from which we would then like to copy the settings including the request type when we create a new project with the "share settings with an existing project" function.
But what we get is a new project with 3 requestType would seem to be taken at random and in any case not those specified in our template.
Is there a solution for not having to re-enter requestType for each project?
We are using "classic" type projects.
Thanks.
Hi there,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
It’s possible to create a project with a shared configuration in Jira Cloud. This isn’t exactly a copy from a project, but it will share issue types, workflows, fields among other configurations, but request types are not one of them.
Regarding create a template, this is currently not available. There are only the default templates in Jira, but it’s not possible to modify or create a new template and let it available to use when creating new projects.
We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.
