Config lost on reboot and now when going through setup the licence entry is saying unknown error

Darryl Clifford October 19, 2018

Have spent 3 weeks configuring the Jira ServiceDesk, just about to launch to users and after a reboot to increase RAM and CPU of the VM the config has been lost.

In an attempt to reset up the system, using the setup wizard, when I get to the enter licence box and paste the licence in I receive and unknown error and to contact support... which isnt available with a  starter licence.

This is due to go live on monday, any help would be appreciated!!

You'll need to start with a look at the log files - they will tell you in more detail what the actual error is.

Thanks for coming back to me Nic.

I have found the following line in jiraservicedesk######-stdout.log

java.sql.SQLException: Invalid value for getInt() - 'T'

Not sure this is related to the licence but may point to the data not being available in the MYSQL Database.

This isn't related to the licence issue as the logs do not get updated when the error message is generated. The logs haven't updated for 2 hours yet I have been trying to licence the product through out that time. Unless there are log files somewhere else i should be looking....?
