A client of ours is not receiving the activation email. However, someone else in their organisation did.
1. Can someone have a look at why the email isn't being sent out? I will DM the email to someone, to save posting it publicly.
2. Is there any way we can manage this from our end, without having to go to support if this issue happens again in the future?

Welcome to the community. At this time, you will need to contact Atlassian Support (https://support.atlassian.com) for this type of support. They will be able to access the logs from their end from the CLOUD env, to identify possible errors.
Another place is for you to reach out to your client (the one who didn't receive the email) to ensure that he/she has not filtered out the notification to somewhere else in their email application (i.e. Outlook).
