Changing of request types by dropdown doesn't work for custom request types (from default to custom)

Roman Bilei May 27, 2020

Hello Atlassian Family!

We started usage of JIRA ServiceDesk NextGen projects for our IT ServiceDesk.

So we created the new project from "IT support template".

I discovered this Community and found out that it is possible to change the request type not via BulkEdit (which requires 5 сlicks and 15 seconds), but just with one сlick from drop down menu.

To do this we should meet to requirements:

1 Required fields in the Initial Request type should be in the Final request type

2 All statuses in the Initial requets type workflow should be presented in the final request type

So it works perfect as described, BUT:

If I create a new request type (which was not cretaed by default) thos logic doesn't work.

Every time - BulkEdit! =(((

At the same time, I can change easily request type from Custom request type to default requets type and between different custom request types.

SO the question is:

Why I can't change a request type by dropdown menu from the default request types to custom request types?

e.g. from "Email" to Custom1 it doesn't work.

e.g. from Custom1 to Custom2 it works.

e.g. from Custom1 to "Email" it works.

all of them have the same workflow and 1 required field "Summary"
