Change order of comments and responses to show most recent first (descending)

I'm trying to get it so the most recent response or comment is at the top and descends in order from the newest to the oldest. I followed the instructions to change the default but it hasn't made any change. Has anyone else figured out how to do this? This was done in the System > General Configuration > Advanced Settings > jira.issue.actions.order - changed to "Desc" and clicked Update.

Just to make sure that we are on the same page, I would like to know if you are using the new or the old issue view.

If you are using the new issue view or next-gen projects, the option to change the order of the comments is not available at the moment. There are feature requests suggesting the implementation of this ability:

• Ability to reorder comments, issue history, work logs and transition by asc/desc
• Ability to change comment order (newest at top VS newest at bottom) in the new issue view

Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

If that's not the case, please let us know if this issue is affecting all classic projects or if it's happening with a specific one and also, if it's affecting all users.
