Capture Status Change Date in Insight

I'm looking to capture the date an asset's status changes in Insight so our asset management team can review assets that have been sitting in a given status for X days. For example, if a device is in a "Deployed - Not In Use" status for more than 20 days we need to collect that device. 

Since we have different methods by which an asset's status can be updated, I'm hoping to find a single process to update the Status Change Date and not try to work this update into each process.
