When I go to Dashboard and click on the Add A New Gadget nothing happens - I am following these steps below but I don't see Assets Object List Gadget in the Gadget List or have the option to add this - is this down to permissions ?
I need this option to build in the stock quantity and levels
Go to Dashboards
From the top navigation bar, click Dashboards.
Select an existing dashboard or click Create Dashboard.
Edit the Dashboard
If you’re creating a new dashboard, you’ll land in edit mode automatically.
If you’re using an existing dashboard, click … (More) → Edit Dashboard.
Find “Add Gadget”
On the right-hand side (or sometimes bottom, depending on layout), you’ll see:
Add Gadget button.
Click it to open the Gadget Directory.
Select Assets Object List Gadget.
Hi I ask Co-Pilot and this is what it came back with as we wont at the moment be using EazyBI I look at selecting the below
Jira dashboards don’t natively show asset attributes, so you have two main options:
Option A: Use Assets Gadget
Jira SM provides Assets Object List Gadget.
Configure it to show:
Object Type: e.g., “Hardware”
Columns: Name, Stock Quantity
This gives a live view of stock levels.
Option B: Use EazyBI or Custom Charts
Pull asset data into EazyBI or a reporting app.
Create a chart showing stock levels per asset type.
Apply threshold color coding (e.g., red if stock < 5).
Or are you aware of another way for me to be able to report on Stock Levels which is Out of the box ?

Option A is not correct, there are no Asset object gadgets for the gadgets. Instead, you need to use AQL: https://support.atlassian.com/assets/docs/how-to-use-assets-query-language-aql/
Based on that, you need to create a filter that you will use for your dashboard gadgets. Here, you can find all gadgets and their filter usage.
